Dive Master
The DiveMaster
rating is the first Professional Scuba rating.
Divemasters supervise diving activities for certified
divers, assist Instructors with training student divers, and
instruct skin diving and snorkeling classes.
This
rating denotes an individual who has exemplary diving
skills, role model behavior, and solid rescue skills.
The Divemaster also has professional level knowledge of dive
theory, dive management and supervision, along with
competence as a certified assistant.
