Open Water Diver Course (Beginning Scuba)

Part
One is your Classroom and Pool Training -
This is
completed at our facility in Eden Prairie. In the
classroom your Instructor will review the pre-study work
that you completed at home, answering your questions.
You will then complete the Final exam. The pool
training is completed in our In-Store pool.
During your pool sessions you will become familiar with the
scuba equipment and master the basic skills. Because
we have our own In-Store pool, your pool training
isn't rushed.
We provide
all the SCUBA equipment (BCD, air delivery system, tank and
weights) for your pool sessions. Each student
provides his/her own personal gear (mask, snorkel and fins)
since these items are specially fit for you. Our
professional staff of Instructors will assist you in getting
the personal gear that will work best for you. Rental
gear is also available. You need to bring a
swimsuit and towel to your pool training.
There are several ways
you can complete Part One:
Group Course -
This is a group of 4 to 6 people that meets on a Friday
evening from 6:30-9:30pm, Saturday from 8:30am - 5:00pm, and
Sunday from 8:30am - Noon. There are also Tuesday -
Thursday and Wednesday - Friday Group Classes that meet from
6:30-10:00pm for two weeks. You receive your Book and
Study Guide Questions that you complete before your first
session. You then complete your Classroom and Pool Training
at our facility. The cost is $229.95 per person.
Private Lesson - This course is ideal
for those with difficult schedules or who simply want One on
One training with an Instructor. With our In-Store
pool these sessions can be scheduled any time, days
evenings and weekends. Watch the DVD and complete the
Pre-Study work from the comfort of your home, then come to
our facility for an Orientation/Academic Review Session and
2 Pool Sessions. The cost for a Private Lesson is
$349.95 for the first person/ $249.95 for each additional
person.

Part 2 is your Open Water
Certification Dives
-
Referrals
During the
winter months you can complete your Open Water Training Dives
while on vacation. You can join one of our group trips
to Cozumel, Mexico and finish your
training with our Instructors. If you aren't traveling
with our groups, we will issue you a Universal Referral to take
with on your trip. With this referral, you can
complete your dives anywhere in the world. If you have
not made arrangements with a Dive Operator at your
destination, we can help you find one. The cost of
your training dives can vary by location.
Square Lake Certification Dives
During the Summer months,
usually June thru October, these dives are done at Square
Lake, near Stillwater. Morning and Afternoon
Sessions are available. There are also weeknight, in
the evening, options available. Private Open Water
sessions are available for those unable to attend the group
sessions.
